Understanding the technical aspects using either digital or conventional cameras. We will also discuss the aesthetic aspects of photography. Composition, lighting and photographs as art. Required: Reg. 35mm or digital camera with instruction manual.

Acrylic painting dates back to the 1950's and is an extremely flexible medium, able to reproduce some of the characteristics of oil paint and water color. Learn your own unique style and become familiar with tools & techniques to make an excellent painting. We will explore all the different painting geners (still life, landscape, figure, abstract, expressionism...). This class is designed for the beginner, but the scope is expansive enough for intermediate.

Exciting new class. Explore different drawing techniques through observation and practice. we will share experiences and mthods on how to develope and refine our drawing ahbits and skills.
Materials to bring to 1st Class: 18x24 drawing pad, kneaded erasers, masking tape, pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 3H, 4H), charcoal ane watercolor brushes.

  Whether you already know how to quilt or would like to learn, this class is for you! You will learn hand piecing and simple applique AND have a completed quilt at the end of the class. You will need to purchase/bring to first class a 12" Omnigrid Ruler that has a 1/4" mark (available at craft or material stores). Other materials will be discussed in first class.

Learn to sew while making fun projects. Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine and the basics of sewing, such as how to read, cut and sew simple patterns and projects. The instructor will contact students prior to the first class with a list of required materials.

Beginners/Advanced! Each class completes a 2-page 12x12 layout with embellishments and by the end of 8 weeks, you'll have created a charming 20 page layout ready for your treasured memories or gift. Course does not include album, but you may use one from home. Register for this course, inquire how to receive 10% discount off all supplies at Stacie & Gracie's Scrapbooking. Tools needed for each class are: 12" paper trimmer, adhesive, pencil, ruler, scissors & bone folder.

Learn woodcarving! Course teaches: Marking, detailing, wood/tool selection, and different types of carving: releif,in the round, discuss wood burning. Learn the basics.
