Enjoy exploring the fundamentals of painting with acrylic and the exciting processes of application methods that are unique to this medium. This class is for beginner to intermediate level painters or hobbyists who are interested in improving skills while learning about various utensils, painting surfaces, and techniques. Supplies will include gesso, gloss and matte mediums, acrylic paint sets, and nylon brushes. A detailed list of supplies will be reviewed during the first class.

You will learn the answers to many general gardening questions. Bring digital photos and measurements of garden problem area to produce a simple design plan.

  Whether you already know how to quilt or would like to learn, this class is for you! You will learn hand piecing and simple applique AND have a completed quilt at the end of the class. You will need to purchase/bring to first class a 12" Omnigrid Ruler that has a 1/4" mark (available at craft or material stores). Other materials will be discussed in first class.

Learn to sew while making fun projects. Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine and the basics of sewing, such as how to read, cut and sew simple patterns and projects. The instructor will contact students prior to the first class with a list of required materials.

An introduction to making jewelry, including materials, tools, techniques and tips. Learn to create bracelets and necklaces, including multi-strand techniques and how to make wire loops for earrings. Supplies will be available for the first class, but if you have them bring beading wire, crimp tubes, crimping pliers, cutters, beads of your choice, and clasps. Tools will be available for all classes use. Supply list will be provided on the first night. Magnification and extra lighting are optional.

Learn odd-count tubular peyote, spiral, even-count flat peyote, herringbone and right-angle weave stitches. You will make a bracelet in each stitch. Bring two or three colors of 11/0 seed beads and a base color of 8/0 beads, beading thread or 6 lb. fireline, beading needles (size 11), scissors, magnification and light (optional) to the first class. Supply lists will be provided for the rest of the classes.
