Develope a practice in the use of mindfulness meditation to become familiar with your body and mind. With this familiarity you are then able to calm your mind and body both while engaged in the formal practice of meditation and in everyday life. Wear comfortable clothing and bring an exercise mat or large towel, and a firm cushion or pillow 5-7 inches high to sit on.

Golden Yoga, an adaption of Classical Yoga is designed to accomodate those who have difficulty getting up and down from the floor. The practices include stretching, breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques - all done sitting or standing. Course, also presented in book, Golden Yoga, is taught by its author, Barbara Levit.

Japenese cooking provides healthful & artistic dining experiences. Learn traditional cuisine & modern Japanese cooking including how to prepare sushi, sukiyaki, tempura, teriyaki, tofu, vegetarian and seafood dishes. Demonstrations/cooking participation. New menu each semester. Instructor has appeared on CN8 morning show!
