  This creative nonfiction workshop welcomes writers of all levels. Using writing prompts and a unique four-step approach, together we will jog our memories by flashing back to specific moments in time, zooming in and out to find the perfect way to express the individual stories we each have to tell. Don’t miss this course taught by a passionate and published writer. Please bring a notebook and pen to each class.

Develope a practice in the use of mindfulness meditation to become familiar with your body and mind. With this familiarity you are then able to calm your mind and body both while engaged in the formal practice of meditation and in everyday life. Wear comfortable clothing and bring an exercise mat or large towel, and a firm cushion or pillow 5-7 inches high to sit on.

For those who have practiced mindfulness mediation, an opportunity to explore its effects in everyday life. Meditation with a group to strengthen skills is an integral part of each class meeting. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a meditation cushion and mat. Students should plan to maintain a journal. Mindfulness in Plain English by Gunaratana will be helpful, but not required reading.
